Travel Yoga Mats
Perfect Yoga mats don’t exist. Why? Well there are many types of Yoga and many places where it is performed. If you are an avid Yoga practitioner, you know that you can do yoga just about anywhere: In a studio, in a “Hot” studio, or on a bright summer’s day under the sun with a slight breeze in your local park. In today’s busy society, we are all on the go all the time. Yoga is an excellent way to stay fit because you can practice it wherever life takes you. Whether traveling on business or traveling to see family, when you travel you will probably want a lighter weight mat, that is easily packed up and ready to travel with you.
So, just as there are many places you can practice yoga, there are several types of Yoga Mats available. If you are a traveller, you will want a “Travel Yoga Mat”. These mats are designed to be portable and can be rolled up and taken with you, without being too bulky. Travel Yoga Mats tend to be thinner than the standard mats and as a result they are more portable. They are extremely light, but come with a downside: the trade-off you make is that you have less cushioning. However, they do come in a “non-slip” version as well.
The good news is that most of the major manufacturers produce travel yoga mats. I have listed several of the key manufacturers below, and the travel yoga mats they provide.
